My story

begins here :

 Gomez

“I believe this project is worth doing because we can all agree that as young college students, we are new to the financial world and it might seem rather intimidating for most of us. This is why we could use several different ways to learn about something as important as financial strategies and obligations. For a lot of us, graduating day is nearing closer every day, which means that those dreaded student loan repayment dates are also just around the corner. Surely, this is something that worries all of us, but this blog sets out to offer college students like myself, a more knowledgeable and more approachable way of understanding the financial world."

People are going to wonder where I came up with this site’s name. Beyond the fact that it sounds cool, I also thought it would teach some of the things I stood for and what I would like to present here. The reality is, I looked to acknowledge the younger generation of people in this site. I intend to write about money, business, technology, and what the culture is during the time us millennials will live. I want this to be a place where you’ll find informative advice, discussion and helpful resources in the areas of money management, investing, spending and shopping and self-development. Heck, anything that touches the subjects of finance and business will be fair game.

I read a lot of money-related blogs because I realized that there is a lot of great personal finance advice from around the Web. There are plenty of people out there sharing their tales of their financial journeys and offering tips for others to use. You have to find the sites that offer solid advice in language even a beginner in personal finance can understand.  As the name of my blog suggests, this is a site if you're just starting out and looking for advice on how to spend less and save more from someone in your age group who's had some experience doing this. But I still want the advice from Money Buddy to be applicable to people of all ages—and this is why I try to make my story relatable.
